Important Information

All information pertaining to what to do before you leave, access routes and use guidelines and the feedback form are included in the document linked to the button below. Please print the document and take it with you when you go to Shangrila.

Liability Waivers

The Trip Leader must ensure that all party members print and sign the waiver prior to the day of departure.  Please note that waiver forms are not available at Pure Outdoors.

An original or printed out photograph of a signed original waiver is acceptable. There is no electronic waiver signature available.

Note: the waiver will be the source of accurate party size and information if needed in the event of emergencies. 

Key Pickup

Pick up and return the key to Pure Outdoors, the ski shop located at 632 Connaught Drive, Jasper. Pure Outdoors is open from 8:00am to 6:00pm Sunday through Thursday, 8:00am to 10:00pm on Friday and 7:30am to 7:00pm on Saturday.

The key will only be released to parties after all members of the party have filled out a waiver.  Print and fill out the waiver for each guest of your party, before you arrive at Pure Outdoors (632 Connaught).


Shangrila Cabin Use Guidelines & What to Pack

A guide to using Shangrila is available for download and is posted on the inside of the door at Shangrila. Please download a copy and ensure all members of your party read this before your departure.

Cabin: What we supply

Duvets, pillows, stove, oven, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, dish soap, hand sanitizer, bleach, floor soap, solar light system, wood heater stove, propane furnace. There are two queen-size bunk beds, and two twin-size bunk beds.

You Supply:

Bed linen, pillow case, sleeping bag, toilet paper, newspaper to start fire, dish washing cloth, scrubby, drying towels, personal soap, towel.

Parties are required to bring their own cloths and any other products with which to clean. Upon arrival and departure each party is required to clean all common surfaces in the cabin and loo.

Feedback Form

The Feedback Form provides information to the MLSC to address issues and ensure everything is working properly at the cabin.  Before leaving for your trip please download this form from the MLSC website. 

Prior to leaving the cabin, use this form to let us know about cabin conditions, wildlife, and other observations. Please return the feedback form and the cabin keys to Pure Outdoors immediately following your trip.

Parks Canada Requirements

Vehicles must display a valid park pass which can be purchased at the park gate upon entry. For more information, call the Park Office at 780-852-6177. A wilderness pass and/or camping permit is not required by guests staying overnight at the cabin.
